It is the time of year that I begin collecting funds and/or Umbrellas for my Under My Umbrella Project.
I try to collect functional new or used Umbrellas for our rainy season. When I walk each day, I take a couple of umbrellas with me and hand them out to moms with kids who are getting wet, homeless who have no shelter from the rain, people walking just like me.
Getting sick from being in the rain without shelter is a real problem here, especially if you do not have health insurance or someone to help.

The Light a Candle project is free to anyone who wants to add a name. I am ALWAYS accepting new names to add to the Light a Candle project.
It could be a friend who is going through health issues or a family member who has experienced a recent loss. It can be for the one who has passed on. You can request to light a candle for our country, or for an area who has recently (or not so recently) gone through a natural disaster. It can be for fire ravaged areas or the firefighters who put their lives on the line to fight the fires and save others. It can be for your beloved furry/swimmer/crawler or a pet that take to the air.
Your request can be for anything or anyone that you need a little extra love and energy for.
Here is how it works: I light candles every morning. I say each persons name out loud (from my mouth to universes ears right?) I never take a name off of the list. They stay indefinitely and get a little love each day.
